Government of Haryana: Academic Monitoring System

The academic monitoring system is a state-wide monitoring mechanism, deployed by the Department of Education, Govt. of Haryana. The program is designed to identify, track, and drive improvements in the quality of school education in the state of Haryana. Under the program, each of the 15,000 govt. schools in the state is monitored regularly by field and department officers.

At the heart of the monitoring system, is an automated issue reporting and tracking mechanism that ensures complete ownership and accountability among all stakeholders towards measurable improvements in quality of school learning and infrastructure. Several quality parameters are continually measured and tracked:
  • Attendance of school staff
  • Academic inputs at schools
  • Student level assessments
  • Tracking of special learning programs, such as state-wide Learning Enhancement Program
  • Teacher's performance in classrooms
  • State of school infrastructure
  • Mid-day meal
  • EDUSAT and other smart class infrastructure
  • Extra curricula
